TENNESSEE GOTHIC
Kids will lose their head sometimes.
Photographed on 16mm film, adapted from Ray Russell’s short story “American Gothic” and brought to the screen by award-winning filmmaker Jeff Wedding (A MEASURE OF THE SIN), TENNESSEE GOTHIC is an audacious look at love, lust, and horrific tragedy. When a beautiful young woman (Jackie Kelly) is found staggering down a country road splattered in blood, a dim-witted farmer and his teenage son offer her refuge in their home. This living situation quickly escalates into madness and horror when the woman’s true nature slinks to the surface.
